Volunteer opportunities at Planted

Planted is an innovative community project from local environmental charity Vision 21. This volunteer supported initiative brings together a collective of local partners to create a vibrant hub for local people.

The plant-based kitchen is run by Poco Culina while the café front of house and loose food ‘refillery’ will be staffed by volunteers. The core opening hours will be Tuesday to Saturday 09:30 to 16:00.

Do you have a spare ½ day a week? The main time slots we wish to cover are 9:30 to 13:00 and 12:45 to 16:00, however there is flexibility to adjust hours to fit around your other commitments.

  • At busy times carry out the washing up of crockery, glassware, cutlery and utensils.
  • Occasionally you may be asked to help in the kitchen with food preparation adhering to health and safety and food hygiene regulations. Training will be provided.

  • You will help run the shop by assisting customers with their refill purchases.
  • Weighing out dry produce into the customers containers.
  • Similarly for the liquid cleaning products.
  • Keeping the refillery tidy and well-stocked.
  • Ensure that all areas are free from hazards.
