CheltenhamZero is moving forwards and gathering pace.
Our dedicated website was unveiled in December, cheltenhamzero.org. Members of the CheltenhamZero initiative can upload their organisational/group profile, logo and showcase examples of how they are contributing to help Cheltenham reach Net Zero Carbon by 2030.
A business community workshop was held in January where members learnt about Carbon Footprints and how to do one. They also had an introduction to solar panel installation. In February, it was the turn of the community organisations when in addition to carbon footprinting members learnt about solar panels, heat pumps and electric vehicles.
In April and May we are teaming up with our colleagues at Planet Cheltenham to deliver a series of workshops about energy conservation in the home and what landlords, tenants and householders can do to reduce their energy use and insulate their properties.
