What we doVision 21 supports local solutions to global issues by working within Gloucestershire to change attitudes and behaviours to enable communities to meet their needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Vision 21 achieve this through project work, attending events with information displays, organising events for the community and businesses, reports, publications and an electronic newsletter 21 Today. Our Forward PlanFor all the details of Vision 21's plans for the future click here to read our Forward Plan. This outlines our mission statement in further detail, the issues that we have to campaign for and our plans for implementation and local projects as well as our financial plan. The Business and Forward Plan were based on the results of Vision 21's Carbon Footprint Analysis (CFA) of Gloucestershire. To view the CFA click here. If you would like to see the full Business Plan please request a copy by emailing the office. HistoryVision 21 was established in 1994 as Gloucestershire’s response to Agenda 21, the international blueprint for global sustainability which was agreed at the UN’s 1992 Earth Summit. Vision 21’s innovative work on community consultation in drawing up Gloucestershire’s Local Agenda 21 has received wide acclaim. Since developing this manifesto, Vision 21 has concentrated on supporting and delivering sustainability projects in Gloucestershire which address global concerns at the local level.
